Earth’s Nectar/ Briogeo Hair Care
Hi Lovlies,
First post of 2016!!!
Let’s talk about hair, mainly curly hair. Last August I decided to stop blow drying and flat ironing my natural curly hair, and just let it be curly. Little did I know it would be a mess before I found some great products to help me out, and of course a few YouTube videos.
First off my hair is 3C (small ringlets), low prosperity (does not absorb much) and medium density, I learned all of this from reading the curly girl method and visiting a salon that caters to curly hair.
The first thing that I noticed when I had to do my hair myself, was I had no idea how to do my hair, I couldn’t do a twist out, flat twist, etc… it was just a mess and me becoming frustrated. Then I was on sephora.com and came across a new line called Earth’s Nectar and Briogeo, both lines are natural and targeted towards those with curly/coily/dry hair. The great ting is that you can use some of the these products to blow out your hair, plus they can be used on straight/wavy hair.
I use two leave in’s, one to help de-tangle, add moisture and the other to help twist out the hair and add shine.
The first thing is the Briogeo Rosarco Oil (10z) which is lightweight & nourishing, free of silicones made with rosehip, argan & coconut oil. It smells amazing and it really helped my hair, I have less breakage and my hair is even softer. I then add the Briogeo Rosarco Milk (5.1oz) which is a reparative leave-in conditioning spray (for weak and damaged hair), it has the same ingredients as the oil and is silicone free & paraben free. Both leave my hair soft and detangled and ready for the next step, which is layering on Coconut Curls (12oz) and the Honey curls gel (12oz). I do a flat twist out. Coconut Curls is a medium consistency, and the gel is lightweight made with aloe and JoJob oil. The leave-in gives you slip and the gel gives hold, without being hard or crunchy afterwards which is a plus! Once it dries (overnight) I separate the twists with the Earth’s Nectar Hair Gloss (8oz), which gives even more moisture and shine.
A lot of these products do smell of coconut, which I love but of course not everyone does. If your starting out wearing your hair natural these are great for beginners, also if you want products that don’t have silicone or any other additives try these out.
If any of you give these a try let me know!
